ISRAEL Folau made an emphatic return to rugby union, scoring a double for his new club Shining Arcs Tokyo-Bay Urayasu in their 24-23 win over the Kobelco Kobe Steelers in the Japan Rugby League One curtain raiser.
The former Wallaby star played his first professional Union match in over 1,000 days, lining up alongside Maori All Black Otere Black and fellow former Wallaby Liam Gill.
Richard Buckman opened the scoring in the third minute for the Steelers before Folau scored his first try, finishing off an impressive break by Black and flanker James Moore.
