IT is eight years since Northampton defeated Saracens in a Premiership match at Franklin’s Gardens and Sam Vesty believes that if the Saints are to end that barren spell they will need to improve their discipline.
Northampton did win their ‘home’ fixture against Sarries in 2015, but the match was played at Milton Keynes. They also defeated them in the 2014 Premiership final at Twickenham in 2014, a period when they won five matches out of six in the fixture, but their only success in the last eight came on the road in 2019.
