My alternative to new drop-out law

I DO not like the new law where a goal-line drop out is awarded after the ball is ‘held up in goal’. A goal-line drop-out is a massive advantage to the defending side and scant reward to the attacking side that made the line break in the first place.
The law was brought in to limit multiple rounds of pick-and-go until a try is scored. But failure to ground the ball means possession is turned over and the game restarts 30-40m out.
