TYNEDALE did just enough to claim victory in this grueling game rearranged from October because of Covid-19.
A strong wing and a wet ball made handling difficult and, on four occasions, Tynedale kicked penalties dead.
The Tigers had the wind at their backs in the first half, and took the lead after six minutes when a knifing run from Sammy Downs put in Jamie Broadley for a try converted by skipper Mark Ireland.
Tynedale hit back three minutes later with a try by Guy Pike, but the Tigers stretched away with two Ireland...
