BURY St Edmunds bounced back from their narrow defeat at Dings with a hard-fought victory over Barnstaple in appalling conditions.
This was the first meeting between the sides since 2018 and Barnstaple were looking for revenge for their defeat that day.
The Chiefs started with the majority of possession, but conditions steadily worsened throughout the first half. Bury opened the scoring with a penalty by Reed, but Barnstaple enjoyed a period of sustained possession and Luke Berry kicked them into a 6-3 lead.
