CLIFTON came through a difficult test against Hinckley as the newcomers threw everything at the Lavender and Blacks at a rain-sodden Station Road.
Clifton had the best of the early exchanges and were quickly on the scoresheet. They stretched Hinckley’s defence before Rory Vowles was sent to the sin-bin for a deliberate knock-on and Clifton were awarded a penalty try.
