Wasps 44-8 Bristol: Wasps turn on turbos to thunder into season

WASPS made up for lost time after sitting out last weekend’s opening round with a startling performance, based on an uber aggressive defence and complemented by sumptuous attacking skills.
The two rarely came together last season but this was very promising indeed.
There was a classy brace of tries for debutant Ali Crossdale and eyecatching performances from Dan Robson and Tom Willis but in truth it was their 15 man defensive effort, with Michael Le Bourgeois setting the tone, that stood out. They hurried and hassled Bristol to distraction.
