WESTCLIFF were left to rue chances that went astray as they were edged out by visiting Dings Crusaders in an even game.
An early penalty from Westcliff ’s Jack Jones was eclipsed by a Dings try from Jake Holcombe, converted by Ben Bolster, against 14 men.
A fine interception try from Jake Campey, converted by Jones, restored Westcliff ’s lead.
However, a second Dings try from Marcus Brooker, converted by Bolster, reasserted the visiting side’s authority.
