Boobbyer quit at his peak to aid post war reconciliation

BRIAN Boobbyer was arguably Uppingham’s finest ever rugby player – certainly in modern times – but, as a committed Christian who had been shocked by the carnage of World War 2 he gave the game up at the height of his powers to work for Frank Buchman’s Moral Rearmament Programme (MRA).
