DAVE RENNIE is a New Zealander from the Tana Umaga corner of Wellington’s metropolitan area and like virtually ever other Kiwi coach on the face of the earth, he would rather perform the haka dressed as a Morris dancer than pick foreign-based players at Test level.
Which would make sense if he was running New Zealand. But he isn’t. He’s running Australia instead, and as the Wallabies aren’t obviously in a position to ignore Will Skelton, Sean McMahon, Samu Kerevi and the Arnold brothers, it doesn’t make any sense at all.
