HARTPURY ripped into the long-awaited Championship season with a five-try win over promoted Richmond.
Winger Ben Foley stood out with a hattrick on his return to the club, but there were good performances all over the field as the Red and Blacks lived up to pre-season optimism.
“I was pleased with our energy and control,” said DoR John Barnes. “That’s the first time in the Championship we’ve had the bonus point by half-time. There were a few mistakes but we defended well at the end.”
