BRISTOL boss Pat Lam was a relieved man after Bears avoided one of the shocks of the season.
“Worcester were desperate for the win and were very hungry for it,” Lam said. “They had a real purple patch in the second half as we didn’t have any possession or territory.
“We should have scored more points in the first half but we were sloppy, although we took our chance when it came late on and closed the game out.
“We are missing a lot of players and are right on the thread of our depth chart so it’s a big win for us.”
