Lack of ‘real’ Welsh centres is concern

WALES have produced oustanding centres since the 1970s that would have been the envy of all the other Home Nations.
Jonathan Davies is still the best 13 in the northern hemisphere when fully fit, but where are the other homegrown midifelders?
I rate both Nick Tompkins and Johnny Williams highly and they could go on to form a decent Test partnership – but both starred for England U20s and would have worn the Red Rose had they been good enough.
Why has the production line in Wales dried up? First they had to rely on Kiwi Hadleigh Parkes to lead the defence, now two Englishmen.
