Dad knew best, he’s still spot on

IN response to Mr Tony Dunkerley’s letter in last Sunday’s paper that England have become boring and staid. This is precisely the reason my late father, who toured France as a rugby schoolboy in 1935, sat me down and introduced me to FrenchRugby Union when I was a young boy.
He stated that what the French had was skill and flair and were not afraid to throw the ball about thus entertaining the crowd. Unlike England who he believed to be one dimensional and boring.
Well, father, nothing has changed and I’m now in my 60s. Just another reason why I support Stade Francais...
