Community clubs get short end of the £135 hand-out

THE government finds £135m for rugby and guess who’s at the bottom of the pile –Mr Sweeney’s favourites “the life blood of our sport” – the community clubs.
The Premiership clubs will receive about £4.5m each which CEO Darren Childs says is what they asked for. Several questions arise: will Saracens in the Championship get their share? Ah, yes, of course, they are a shareholder; will CVC be allowed a share or any advantage from the windfall?
Then £44m for the RFU, which will help fill the deficit, which is pre-Covid-19
