GLOUCESTER-HARTPURY secured an opening day win over newly-formed Exeter Chiefs in an entertaining encounter at the Alpas Arena. After a cagey opening for both sides, it was Exeter that dominated the early collisions. The hosts seemed shocked by the pressure exerted on them by the Exeter back row, with Kate Zackary winning a number of turnovers for the Chiefs.
