‘Homely’ Chiefs don’t need Bears’ cash riches

EXETER Chiefs’ secondstring scored a famous win at Ashton Gate on Tuesday night with a squad of 23, only one of whom came from another Premiership club – the former Bath wing Olly Woodburn.
Of the remaining 22, four (Gareth Steenson, Alec Hepburn, Tomas Francis, Billy Keast), joined from Championship clubs. A fifth, Sean Lonsdale, arrived via RGC in the Welsh Premiership.
Nine came through the ranks: Richard Capstick, Joe Snow, Tom Hendrickson, Harvey Skinner, Marcus Street, Jack Yeandle, Sam Skinner, Jack Innard, Tom Wyatt.
