THEREis no doubt that the Covid-19 pandemic has changed much in our lives as well as the sports arena.
Rugby has always espoused the spirit of the game alongside its laws. This season those ‘spirits’ have been sorely stretched and tested.
I am finding it a bit disingenuous for teams to have to allow players to leave who would have left in the close season. The lockdown period is equivalent to a mid-season break. We are also seeing clubs announcing new signings with much glee and trumpeting how they are now potential championship contenders with a supposed boost for the playoffs....
