All Blacks fired blanks

THE account of Munster’s historic win against the All Blacks in 1978 suggests it was one of those ‘I was there’ occasions.
I suspect the number of fans who now claim they were at the match is considerably greater than the then capacity of Thomund Park! This was the first ever defeat of a New Zealand rugby team on Irish soil but it should be remembered for another reason and that is that this match was the last time that a New Zealand team failed to register any points on the scoreboard.
