World record kicker: Dusty Hare
DUSTY Hare remains a Leicester legend despite having spent seven years bringing through a swathe of talented youngsters as academy manager at Northampton, the club’s East Midlands arch rivals.
The former Tigers and England full-back and ace goal-kicker, who still holds the world record for points scored in a first class rugby career with 7,337 – 4,507 of them scored during a 394 match innings at Leicester (1976-1989) – made the return journey from Franklin’s Gardens to Welford Road three years ago.
