Far greater issues than scrum feeds

I CANNOT believe that Peter Jackson and Nigel Owens believe that scrum feeds are the game’s most contentious issue.
I would imagine that referees have been asked to tolerate the feed as at least it help get the ball in and away from the scourge of the tedious delayed scrummage.
Surely refereeing the offside line and ruck clear outs correctly are more critical to providing a more entertaining game and improving player welfare?
