MATT O’Brien broke Bridgend hearts as he snatched victory from the jaws of defeat with a 45-metre penalty with the very last kick.
The outside-half had already scored one of his side’s five tries and kicked four conversions.
He was right on target moments after the Ravens thought they had won it with their fifth try of a magnificent fightback.
Newport started with a penalty try, given when Cai Lewis pulled down a driving maul, and also had scores from Ben Carter and Jon Morris.
