YORKSHIRE Carnegie have turned to the most successful coach in the club’s history in a bid to stay in the Championship.
Four days after Martyn Wood was sacked, Welshman Phil Davies has been announced as the club’s new DoR.
Davies, undoubtedly the people’s choice, masterminded the club’s rise through the leagues and steered them into the Premiership in 2001.
He then led the club to a record fifth-place finish and qualification for the Heineken Cup as well as being in charge when the club famously beat Bath to win the 2005 Powerge...
