ENGLAND missed out on the quarter-finals of the Cape Town Sevens for the first time in four years, as questions over Simon Amor’s future as head coach surfaced this week.
Needing to beat France to be in with the chance of building on their thirdplace finish at the World Sevens Series’ curtainraiser in Dubai last weekend, a second-half onslaught by the French consigned England to a ninth-place play-off against USA after losing 33-12.
