WESTCLIFF were left to heavily rue two late penalty misses as Old Albanian prevailed in an extremely close and entertaining match at Aviation Way.
A war of attrition throughout, with both sides displaying their impressive defensive skills, made for a tight first 40 minutes with three tries being scored from catch-and-drive situations.
Of the three similar tries Westcliff ’s Ewan Binneman claimed two of them, on 15 minutes and then the stroke of halftime, sandwiching Nico Defeo’s effort for the visitors.
