Bath director of rugby Todd Blackadder has made a bold statement by signing four new players who are all set to join next season.
Blackadder has added depth to his forward options by signing front duo Lewis Boyce and Will Stuart, while versatile back row Mike Williams will also make the move to the Rec.
Harlequins loosehead prop Boyce joins Bath after two seasons at Twickenham Stoop, where his performances earned him a place in Eddie Jones‘ 35-man Six Nations squad last year.
World Rugby Under-20 Championship winner Stuart, leaves Coventry-based Wasps after progressing through their academy and making 24 appearances for the side.
Leicester forward Williams can play in both the second and back row and will be departing from Leicester Tigers.
Bath’s fourth signing sees Cornish Pirates‘ prop Christian Judge join the side, a player who has Premiership experience after being loaned to Saracens this season.
Blackadder said: “We’re delighted to bring in four quality players, who will bring significant strength to the pack going into next season.
“They’re all players who are aspiring to achieve, and that’s exactly the ambition we share as a club.
“We are going to go into next season even stronger as a squad, and Lewis, Christian, Will and Mike will play a huge role for us moving forward.
“They have a real hunger to develop and have the traits we look for to enhance the competitive environment both on the training field and matchday.”
