Alvarez leads the charge to leave Knights shellshocked

ANoutstanding individual performance by Pirates’ fly-half Javier Alvarez, finishing with 24 points, ensured his team continued their excellent start to the new league season as Doncaster were outplayed.
The 28-year-old Argentine from Tucuman, who’s been capped once and has also played international Sevens, was unstoppable, scoring a try and striking five conversions and three penalties. However, his match winning contribution didn’t end there. Alvarez, in his second season with the Pirates, also played a major role in two of his side’s five tries.
