Pitman injury puts dampner on promising Knights start

DONCASTER’S first competitive match of the new campaign produced a convincing win by six tries to three at Castle Park.
The Knights’ victory was spoiled by a serious knuckle injury to their No.8 Rory Pitman who may now miss six weeks.
Pitman, before going off in the second half, was Doncaster’s most powerful and aggressive player, and losing a forward of his status is a body blow the Yorkshire club can ill afford.
