NEWCASTLE’S first game since relegation from the Premiership saw them overcome a plucky effort from Jersey Reds thanks to a strong last quarter.
George Wacokecoke was summoned from the Falcons’ bench early in the game after injury to Tom Penny and it was the strongrunning Fijian whose brace of tries made the difference.
