Etzebeth probe hits the Boks

Under investigation: Second row Eben Etzebeth

PROSECUTORS in South Africa are investigating if Springbok lock Eben Etzebeth was involved in assault and racial abuse.
The South African Rugby Union says they are giving their “full cooperation” and “will take appropriate action” once the investigation is complete, raising the possibility Etzebeth could be recalled from Japan.
Etzebeth denied assaulting or racially abusing anyone when the allegations first surfaced and travelled to Japan with the Springboks squad.
