RFU director of professional rugby Nigel Melville says the future of Yorkshire Carnegie as a Championship club is still under review as the July 31 deadline for deciding the make-up of next season’s league looms ever closer.
Having had their Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) approved at the end of last month, the Leeds-based club now need to satisfy the RFU that they have sufficient financial clout to fund next season’s campaign, which is due to begin on September 21.
At present no players or coaches are listed on the club’s website.
