ENGLAND are about to embark on their final phase of preparation for the 2019 World Cup, and part of that includes the match between an England XV and the Barbarians at Twickenham next Sunday.
This begs the question, why is Eddie Jones not coaching the England side? Instead, that job has been passed to Jim Mallinder, who is currently an England pathway coach, until now mainly at U18 and U20 level – but was not part of Jones’ coaching team in the Six Nations (or the Autumn Internationals).
