BRIDGEND powered to a crucial bonus-point away win over an already relegated Bargoed.
It kept alive their hopes of retaining their Premiership status next season.
A wind-assisted Bridgend largely dominated the first half.
They took the lead through an Owen Howe penalty with barely three minutes gone and then made a breakthrough from a line-out drive. Lock Ben Jones burrowed over, with Howe converting the score.
