PONTYPOOL have successfully defended their WRU National Championship title for a second consecutive season with five games still left to play.
They were pushed all the way by Cardiff Met but managed to scrape a 41-40 victory – their 42nd consecutive league win – while Narberthlost to Tata Steel, which was enough to keep the title at Pontypool Park.
