NORTHAMPTON fly-half James Grayson led his team to the first trophy of the season as Saints overcome Saracens in the Premiership Cup final.
Saints produced a ruthless first-half display with tries from Teimana Harrison, Tom Wood and Ahsee Tuala.
Max Malins responded with a trio of first-half penalties, but after the break Grayson and Piers Francis extended Saints’ lead to seal the trophy in composed style.
Grayson, 20, scooped the breakthrough player award last month and his coach Chris Boyd is certain he has a long career ahead of him at the Gardens.
