TAUNTON overcame an early setback to down London Irish Wild Geese in tricky conditions in Somerset.
Both teams had chances to score in the opening quarter but some good defence as well as missed opportunities for both sides meant it wasn’t until a penalty by the visitors’ fly-half Reuben Knight on the 25-minute mark that any points were scored.
However, the Wild Geese lead was shortlived as Taunton came back at them and flanker Max Woodward went over in the corner on his home debut.
