MATT Banahan shrugged off the disappointment to praise the youngsters who performed superbly for Gloucester.
Johan Ackermann picked a youthful outfit for the visit to Castres with the whole front row made up of academy lads.
Wing Banahan said: “We are bitterly disappointed with this loss. When you are leading for so long you just want to get the job done. Defensively it was an outstanding performance, and we took our tries very well. We were ahead for over 80 minutes and played some pretty good rugby with some young lads.
