Kicking king Daryl set to hand over the tee

IT will be with much reluctance on his part if Nottingham scrum-half Daryl Veenendaal hands over the kicking duties for the visit of Yorkshire Carnegie today.
Injuries and international call-ups resulted in the 28-year-old taking on the unfamiliar role for the back-to-back Championship Cup games against Coventry, and he came out with flying colours with nine from ten attempts.
“It’s a bit of a running joke that I’m now the best kicker at the club, I’m getting a lot of banter at the minute,” Veenendaal revealed.
