AMPTHILL remained resolute as they held off a battling Blackheath for victory.
A’s started well taking the game to the visitors and took the lead on 11 minutes with a fine backs try rounded off by Sam Baker, centre Mickey Wilson adding the extras from the touchline against the wind.
Almost straight from the kick off Blackheath replied with a penalty by full-back and Ampthill youth graduate Elliot Clements-Hill.
