ESHER survived a nervy final few minutes to end a three-match losing streak and win their first match of the season.
The first five minutes were dominated by the home side, and their pressure told as Jack Walsh took advantage of space on the right-hand side to cross. Owen Waters was then able to effortlessly convert.
But then Cambridge, who came into this match seven places above their opponents in the table, showed some aggressive play.
