LUKE McLean still harbours hopes of an Italy recall if he can steer London Irish into the Premiership.
Stranded on 89 caps after last appearing for his country in 2017, the 31-year-old utility back knows the clock is ticking if he is to make a third World Cup.
McLean, who starts on the wing against Bedford today, told The Rugby Paper: “It was disappointing at the start of last season not to get selected and if Conor O’Shea gives me another chance, I’ll certainly be looking to take it.
