IRRESPECTIVEof any new possible cash input from CVC Capital Partners, Premiership Rugby has to operate a tight financial ship.
In that respect I agree with the sentiments of Exeter supremo Rob Baxter in last week’s paper (“Cut games and we’ll all go bust”) that the game would cease to exist as a professional one if the number of matches were cut appreciably in a campaign.
