ABERAVON began the season in style with a dominant performance over Ospreys regional rivals Swansea.
The Wizards almost struck first when a powerful scrum turned over possession, but a superb tackle by Josh Guy prevented Matthew Jenkins from scoring in the corner. A period of pressure for Swansea almost resulted in a try, but both Sion Jones and Jake Randall were held up on the line.
The Aberavon pack were then penalised at the scrum and Foard Cooksley kicked a simple three-pointer.
