RICHMOND took the bragging rights as the oldest club rugby game in history went the way of the home side on Friday night.
The Championship outfit, who finished ninth in the table last season, crossed for three tries to two over their National One rivals on a wet Athletic Ground pitch following a torrential downpour which had earlier broken the summer heat wave.
Blackheath had begun brightly, gaining parity at the set-piece to allow fullback Elliot Clements-Hill to show his full repor toire by scoring with a silky chip and chase.
