FORMER Gloucester player of the year Akapusi Qera is leaving French side Agen but doesn’t have any plans to return to the United Kingdom for the time being.
Qera, 34, who plays at either flanker or No.8, has played in France for Toulouse, Montpellier and Agen since leaving Kingsholm four years ago.
The Fijian, who has won 64 Test caps and played in three World Cups, still had a year left to run on his contract with the Top 14 outfit but has now negotiated his immediate release.
