BBC WALES have moved quickly to fill the vacuum left by the decision of Europe’s three major Leagues to leave the fans twiddling their fingers over Christmas and New Year. The screens will not be blank after all, at least not in Wales where the spotlight is to be shone on the often-neglected Welsh Premiership.
After an abortive bid to retain rights to the PRO14, the BBC will offer a Friday night live match from the Premiership with the potential to reach a far wider audience than the alternative PRO14 offering on the satellite channel, Premier Sports.
