I WONDER how many rugby supporters and club season ticket holders feel like me, that the play-off system to decide the league champions, is completely incorrect and totally unfair?
I have been a Saints season ticket holder for many years and have had several chats with visiting supporters at Franklin’s Gardens on this subject.
In every case, they agree with my thoughts. In any league system, depending on the number of teams in the league, there is prerequisite number of games to play in a season. Surely, the team that is top after this number of games are the true champions.
