TWENTY-FOUR clubs in Lancashire have voted to break away from the RFU League structure to form their own separate competition.
Faced with a potential player exodus over the amount of travel required under the current format, Level 7, 8 and 9 clubs including Liverpool St Helens, who once graced England’s top division, proposed to cut their losses at a recent meeting in Wigan.
