As a defensivemidfieldercum- centre back in Everton’s academy, Sam Moore looked set for a future in football. Surprising really, given he was born in Cardiff and his old man, Steve, was capped three times by Wales at lock and his uncle, Andy, had once skippered the Welsh team.
