A TERRIFIC display by the Bury pack set the stage for an emphatic victory at Hazlewood.
The game’s first points came when Bury scrumhalf Jake Ashby danced through a static Wild Geese defence to touch down from a scrum.
The Wild Geese quickly struck back with a try of their own. The ball was held up over the line and after a quick period of pressure, George Owen touched down.
Bury had the majority of possession, but had to wait nearly 20 minutes for that advantage to count, with prop David Coutts crashing over.
